The blogging accountant…
By daytime, my name is Gerda and I am an accountant with a responsible job.
I live and work in Johannesburg, South Africa and if I can survive it here, anyone can!
In my other life, I am Supermom! Okay, okay, maybe not…but believe me, you must have some superpowers to survive two teenagers!
I am also a forty plus divorcee attempting to do the dating thing, which seems to be much tougher than I remember it being in my teens…
I never take myself too seriously, and laughter is my favourite thing to do in the whole world.
We all have baggage, but I firmly believe that the ones who can look their mistakes in the eye and learn from them, are richer for making the mistakes in the first instance.
I am the ultimate optimist and will seek the silver lining behind every cloud, even on the darkest day.
I created this blog to share some of my happy, sad and funny moments. I guess it is a bit like a virtual diary, or memoire.

LOVE the premise of your blog–the accountant who can NOT count, I imagine. That’s funny. I’m not an accountant because I definitely can’t count. LOL

Hi Sylvia, thanks for the return visit :-). In all honesty, I am actually quite a good accountant, but I hate doing tax returns, so that is honkey dory with me. I prefer the bit where I do theoretical calculations of where the company should spend their money, and then spend the next while biting my nails, hoping I was right… Who says accounting is boring!
